October has always been our favourite month for weddings.  The sky is clear, the air is crisp and the sun just seems so much brighter.  All the colours pop and give each photograph a dimension that cannot be duplicated in any editing software.  This was the kind of day that Courtney and Adam had for their wedding on October 1st.  It was hard for us to tell if the day reflected their personalities, or if their personalities were a reflection of the day…both were sunny, bright and fun-filled.  A photographer’s dreams come true when they are lucky enough to get a fantastic couple like Courtney and Adam, an amazing wedding party, and a spectacular day.

With our baby girl due in just a few weeks, I could not wait to photograph my beautiful wife in all her pregnancy glory.  Always being up for an adventure, Sandra was willing to hike deep into the woods in Halton Hills and climb up and down more than a few slippery slopes to get the maternity photographs that we both dreamt of capturing.  It was a wonderful day that we will both cherish as long as we live, and we know the photographs we captured today will be treasured by our baby girl for all of her life.

Thank you to Horse Spirit Connections and the organizers of Polo For Hope for giving Michael T Photography & Design Inc. the opportunity to photograph their fantastic event.  The game of polo is amazing to watch, but it was the rescue horses and their success stories that made the day spectacular.  They day was filled with family fun and long-standing polo traditions that made for great entertainment and great photography.

When you take a spectacular sunny day, a fantastic couple, great friends and a very tight-knit family, and mix them all together with the joy of a wedding, what results is photography magic.  With Josie and Bruno, every moment was high-energy and a great photo waiting to happen.  The ceremony took place at St. Wilfrid’s Catholic Church, after which the wedding party travelled to the McMichael Gallery in Kleinburg.  The reception took place at Da Vinci Banquet Hall where it was obvious just how loved Bruno and Josie truly are by their wonderful family and friends.

Every bride puts her heart and soul into planning her wedding, but in this case, Lisa took it to a whole new level.  Being a very creative person comes natural to Lisa and her magic touch was obvious in all the perfectly thought out details throughout her wedding.  There wasn’t a thing from beginning to end that didn’t have Lisa’s creative touch on it, and it made their wedding all the more special.

Both the ceremony and reception took place at our favourite golf course, Piper’s Heath Golf Club in Milton.  The weather was spectacular, but the bright sun was out-shone by Lisa and Chris’ fantastic personalities.  It was truly one of our best weddings of 2011.

With a great couple like Avishag and Aaron, great photos come easy.   When a couple is not only great, but ready and willing to try anything – that’s when the photos become spectacular!  This was the case with Avishag and Aaron who let us lead them throughout Toronto and an impromptu stop at the Art Gallery of Ontario where we took some of the best photos we’ve ever taken in an indoor Toronto location.

With everything taking place at the Rosewater Room, Lindsay and Eric’s wedding was the picture of elegance and sophistication.  Set in downtown Toronto, the couple had all of Toronto as their personal photography playground for the afternoon and we absolutely made the most of it!  Starting at Osgoode Hall and travelling to University Avenue, Lindsay, Eric and their wedding party made the most of each location and had a lot of fun in the process.

By now, anyone who regularly reads our blog knows that we just love being in rural settings in general – and especially for photography.  Weddings set in rural settings are our absolute favourite and Jennifer and Ron’s wedding is at the top of our list of all time fabulous farm settings.  The ceremony took place at the family farm in Hillsburgh, Ontario, which is just about the most beautiful place we’ve every seen.  The simple and comfortable beauty of the farm was enhanced by the warmth we felt from Jennifer, Ron and their families and set an intimate tone for the entire day.  Every aspect of their wedding had a loving touch including the gorgeous flower arrangements that were made by Jennifer’s mother, Ann, with her own flowers grown on the farm.

After the ceremony, the couple and guests travelled to the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse in downtown Toronto, which reflected and continued their intimate and beautiful country theme.  It was also a reflection of the couple who both work within the school system.
